Each year, BIS hosts a variety of cross-cultural events, such as International Day, Halloween, and Christmas Week, which provide students with the opportunity to showcase their cultures and talents, thus allowing them to grow into confident, internationally-minded citizens in a diverse and inclusive community.

Personalized Development

All classes are set within the limited student number of 20. The average teacher-student ratio is 1:6, which guarantees teachers to find out the advantages and disadvantages of each student. All student will be guided in accordance with their own potentials while in the frame of IB curriculum.

我校采用小班教学，每个班级的学生人数控制在20人以内，师生比例为1:6，有效关注到每个孩子的天赋和优缺点，因材施教，在IB课程框架体系内进行定制化教学。

The school emphasizes not only the intellectual development of students, but also their personal development, encouraging them to learn and grow in everything they do. We offer the Boston Explorers Program for students ages 3-18, which includes extracurricular activities and courses that integrate sports, arts, languages, technology, and science. Our unique approach to learning, TRCSS (Thinking, Researching, Communicating, Self-management, and Social skills), is integrated into every project. The school encourages all students to become "explorers" who discover endless possibilities and create bright futures.

Strong Language Learning Support

BIS is a large multi-cultural community with students from all kinds of language background. While BIS keeps English as the major teaching and communicating language on campus, the school also provides a strong and comprehensive language support.

波士顿国际学校是一个多元文化的社区，有着来自不同国家和语言背景的学生。因此，我校以英语作为主要教学和沟通语言，同时我们也提供强大而全面的语言教学支持。

We provide ELL(English Language Learner program) support for students from KG to G10 to help them build solid English foundation. We utilize multiple internationally recognized testing tools that are aimed at helping teachers identify and focus on individual student needs. Meanwhile, We encourage students to learn their mother tongues and traditional cultures. BIS offers mother tongue courses of English, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, French and German. All teachers are native speakers.
